Frequently Asked Questions

This FAQ summarizes how VocabApp works. For legal details, see the Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
VocabApp is a vocabulary learning app that helps you build and review decks of words and phrases. You can use it on web and mobile. The app supports study across English, Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Spanish, French, and German (subject to change).
How do daily credits work?
On the Free plan, you get a daily allowance of credits for features such as translation, audio, and AI-assisted example generation. Your remaining balance and when credits reset are shown in Settings.
Credit costs per action and the daily allowance are displayed in the app and may change over time. When you run out of credits for the day, those features pause until the next reset (unless you upgrade to Pro).
No refunds are provided except in cases such as duplicate charges, billing errors, or technical malfunctions, which may be reviewed individually. See the Terms of Service. To ask for a review, email support@tamav-inc.com.
Pro is a paid subscription that removes the daily credit limit for those features: you get unlimited use of translation, audio, and generation, subject to fair use, abuse prevention, and normal operational limits.
Pro is billed through Stripe (for example, monthly or annual plans).
Open Settings, go to Billing, and tap Manage subscription. That opens the Stripe Customer Portal, where you can cancel or update your subscription and payment method.
Cancellation stops future renewals. You usually keep Pro access until the end of the period you already paid for.
What happens after I cancel Pro?
You keep Pro benefits until the current billing period ends. After that, your account returns to the Free plan with daily credits. Account deletion is only available after paid access has fully ended and your account is back on Free (see below).
How does account deletion work?
You can delete your own account from the app. You do not need email support for routine deletion.
Where: Settings → scroll to Danger Zone → Delete my account.
1.
Tap Manage subscription in Settings (opens the Stripe Customer Portal) and cancel or end your subscription as needed.
2.
Wait until paid access has fully ended and your plan shows as Free again.
3.
Open Danger Zone and tap Delete my account.
Deletion stays unavailable while paid access is still in effect, including when:
•
Your subscription is active or trialing, or
•
You canceled but the current billing period has not ended yet, or
•
The app cannot determine when your billing period ends (blocked until that is resolved), or
•
Your account has a special promotional or manual billing arrangement—email support@tamav-inc.com for help.
The app explains why deletion is blocked and, when relevant, points you to Manage subscription.
When you are eligible, type DELETE exactly as shown to confirm. Your account is then removed, you are signed out, and the action cannot be undone.
Vocabulary data tied to your account is removed as the app is designed to do. Limited information may still be kept where needed for legal, tax, fraud-prevention, or compliance reasons, or by payment or infrastructure providers—see the Privacy Policy.
What AI or translation services does VocabApp use?
Some features rely on third-party services, including OpenAI (for certain AI text and audio features) and DeepL (for translation in some flows). When you use those features, the text you send may be transmitted to the provider so it can return a result.
VocabApp does not use third-party advertising or cross-app analytics trackers. Providers handle data they receive under their own terms and policies.
How do I contact support?
Email support@tamav-inc.com for billing, account deletion help if you are stuck, privacy questions, and general support. Support is email only—there is no in-app contact form.
