TamaV, operated by Miku Suto (“we,” “us,” or “our”) provides VocabApp.
Contact: support@tamav-inc.com
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of VocabApp (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
VocabApp is a vocabulary learning application. It is available on web and mobile platforms (as offered by us from time to time). Features may include decks and cards, spaced repetition-style review, language settings, and optional AI-assisted features (such as example generation, translation, and audio), subject to your plan and our configuration.
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue parts of the Service with reasonable notice where practicable. We are not obligated to maintain any particular feature indefinitely.
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement. Additional rules may apply in your jurisdiction; you are responsible for complying with them.
You must provide accurate information when registering and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account.
You may not share account credentials in a way that allows others to access your subscription or data without authorization. Notify us at support@tamav-inc.com if you believe your account has been compromised.
4. Free tier and Pro subscription
Free accounts receive a daily allowance of credits that can be consumed when using certain features (for example, translation, audio, and AI-assisted generation). Allowances, credit costs, and reset times are shown in the app and may change; we will try to give reasonable notice of material changes.
Pro is a paid subscription that provides unlimited use of the features that are otherwise limited by daily credits on the Free plan, subject to fair use, abuse prevention, and normal operational limits. Pro is billed through Stripe on a recurring basis (for example, monthly or annual plans we offer).
4.3 Changes to pricing or plans
We may change prices or plan features. Where required by law or by our payment processor’s rules, we will provide notice or obtain consent before charging new amounts.
5. Payments, billing, and cancellation
•
Payments are processed by Stripe.
•
You authorize us and Stripe to charge your payment method on a recurring basis for subscriptions until you cancel.
•
You can manage or cancel your subscription through Manage subscription in Settings, which opens the Stripe Customer Portal.
•
If you cancel, you typically retain Pro access until the end of the current billing period (as determined by Stripe and your subscription state).
No refunds are provided except in cases such as duplicate charges, billing errors, or technical malfunctions, which may be reviewed individually. This does not limit any rights you may have under mandatory applicable law.
To request a review, email support@tamav-inc.com with sufficient detail (including dates and charge identifiers if applicable).
•
Use the Service in violation of law or third-party rights
•
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other users’ data, or our systems
•
Interfere with or overload the Service (including automated scraping or abuse of rate limits)
•
Use the Service to generate or distribute unlawful, harmful, or infringing content
•
Reverse engineer, decompile, or circumvent security or usage limits except where prohibited by applicable law
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.
7. User content and AI outputs
You retain ownership of content you create in the Service, subject to the license below.
You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, process, and display your content only as needed to operate, maintain, secure, and support the Service for you (including reasonable backups consistent with those purposes).
AI outputs (e.g., generated examples, translations, audio) may be incorrect, incomplete, or unsuitable for a particular purpose. The Service is not a substitute for professional language instruction, legal advice, or human judgment. You are responsible for how you use outputs.
You may self-delete your account from Settings → Danger Zone → Delete my account.
If you subscribe to Pro, you must end paid access before deletion can complete: use Manage subscription (Stripe Customer Portal) from Settings, then wait until your plan has returned to Free. Deletion remains unavailable while paid access is still in effect (including during trial, active subscription, or a canceled subscription that has not yet reached the end of the paid period). If we cannot reliably determine your billing period end, we may block deletion until the situation is resolved; contact support@tamav-inc.com if you need help.
Deletion requires confirming by typing DELETE as instructed. If deletion completes, you are signed out and associated application data is removed as the Service is designed to do. Limited records may be retained where necessary for legal, tax, fraud-prevention, or compliance purposes, or by payment or infrastructure providers under their own policies.
The Service, including its design, branding, software, and documentation (excluding your content), is owned by us or our licensors. Except for the limited rights to use the Service under these Terms, no rights are granted to you.
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the extent permitted by applicable law, we disclaim warranties that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components, and disclaim implied warranties such as merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, except where such disclaimers are not permitted by law.
11. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, we and our contractors and suppliers will not be liable for indirect or consequential losses (such as lost profits, lost data, or lost goodwill) arising from your use of the Service.
Our total liability for any claim arising out of these Terms or the Service is limited to the total amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve (12) months before the event giving rise to the claim (or, if you did not pay us during that period, zero). Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases, our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by law.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
We may update these Terms. We will post the new version and update the “Last updated” date. Continued use after changes become effective may constitute acceptance, unless applicable law requires a different process.
If any provision is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
